March Break 2026 Hockey Camp Overview
Our March Break Hockey Training Camp is a 3-day immersive experience combining on-ice skill development, off-ice athletic training, and mindset coaching to help players elevate their performance in a competitive but supportive environment
Day 1 – Build the Foundation
Off-Ice Training
Players will begin at the indoor soccer facility with a high-tempo yoga session followed by a structured group workout circuit. This session focuses on mobility, balance, coordination, and full-body activation to prepare athletes for peak performance on the ice.
On-Ice Development
Players will be split into Forwards and Defence, allowing for targeted, position-specific coaching. Athletes will work on both foundational and advanced skills with an emphasis on proper habits, efficiency, and translating skills into real game situations.
Mindset Session
We are excited to welcome Amy Ford, who will lead a mindset session focused on confidence, mental preparation, and performance under pressure—essential tools for success both on and off the ice.
Day 2 – Compete & Create
Off-Ice Competition
Players should arrive ready to compete. This day features a high-energy, partner-based athletic competition using activities such as Spikeball and Ultimate Frisbee, designed to challenge teamwork, competitiveness, agility, and conditioning.
On-Ice Situational Play
Athletes will begin with a quick refresh of position-specific skills before moving into game-like situational drills, including:
-
1v1 and 2v1 scenarios
-
Battle drills
-
Zone entry and decision-making situations
Drill Design Session
Players will learn how effective drills are built—covering purpose, flow, teaching points, and execution. Small groups will design their own drills, which will be refined and run on the ice during Day 3.
Day 3 – Lead & Execute
On-Ice Player-Led Session
The final on-ice session will feature the player-designed drills, encouraging leadership, communication, creativity, and ownership of development.
Mini Putt Tournament
To wrap up the camp, players will walk together to Nottawasaga Mini Putt for a fun yet competitive 18-hole stroke-play tournament, finishing the camp on a high note.
